About the braid
This is the most basic marudai braid with just 4 threads. I have used the name it is given in Makiko Tada’s books, but it is in other books too.
How to use the designer
Use the colour picker to choose your thread colour. If you use it on the braid, it will be added to your colour list so you can easily choose it again. Click on the thread you want to colour in the braid diagram.
Some braids allow you to change the number of threads. If available, you can use the "+" and "-" buttons to change the number of threads - active internet connection required.
Disk instructions
With so few threads, it is very difficult (impossible?) to do this properly on a disk. You need to have tension on the braid as you make it. I have had better results doing the braid this way.

Wonder if you have any idea the setting of this four strands round braid with the kumi kreator toy?
