About the braid
This is a braid for making on a takadai. It is called kikko and is design 50 on page 127 of Making Kumihimo by Rodrick Owen. Instructions for the hand/thread movements can be found there.
More information about my takadai, and how it was made can be found in my braiding blog.
How to use the designer
Use the colour picker to choose your thread colour. If you use it on the braid, it will be added to your colour list so you can easily choose it again. Click on the thread you want to colour in the braid diagram.
Some braids allow you to change the number of threads. If available, you can use the "+" and "-" buttons to change the number of threads - active internet connection required.

I don’t have the book.
Can you share the patterns on the board?
Hi Max, the only way we could share the pattern is by taking photographs and uploading them, and this would be a violation of copyright. The pattern may be in other books, such as Makiko Tada’s Comprehensive Treatise of Braids vol 3 or 4 – but I have not checked.
