About the braid
This flat braid can produce a strong 2 colour chevron pattern on one side. It can also be used to develop other patterns too. Try changing the thread colours to see what you can do!
How to use the designer
Use the colour picker to choose your thread colour. If you use it on the braid, it will be added to your colour list so you can easily choose it again. Click on the thread you want to colour in the braid diagram.
Some braids allow you to change the number of threads. If available, you can use the "+" and "-" buttons to change the number of threads - active internet connection required.

Notice the the arrows in the last diagram - it is important to make sure that the thread following the unbroken arrow is on top of the other.

Because there are 6 threads at the top and 2 at the bottom on some stages, the braid will tend to shift towards the top of the disk, I found adjusting it between steps 5 and 6 worked best.
I have found this works best with some weight attached to the braid. I tried getting tension by holding the braid against the disk, but this distorted the braid too much. I used around 70g with DMC embroidery thread.
